The illustrations in this deck are very cool. Contemporary artist Patrick Valenza has created a deck of funky, gothicesque characters depicting traditional tarot symbology, with each surreal scene set to a moon nightscape. The guide booklet gives meanings to each card with both upright and reversed interpretations. Also included in the instruction guidebook is a unique ten-card spread called the Lunatic Spread, which mimics the shape of the full moon, and derives energy from its circular pattern.
